Fajr Int’l Filmfest announces call for submissions

Latest edition of Fajr International Film Festival in Iran announces call for entries.

As of November 1, 2017, various filmmakers and director have been invited to send their submissions to the 2018 run of the event which is slated to be held in Iranian capital city of Tehran.

So far, over 600 filmmakers from 35 countries of the world have sent their submissions for the competition. 

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the 36th edition of the festival runs April 19-27, 2018 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The local edition of the event is currently underway in various venues in Iran.
